COOKEVILLE CHAPEL-Funeral services for Mrs. Patricia Winningham, age 81 of Sparta, will be held Thursday, September 10, 2026 at 4:00 p.m. (CDT) at Cookeville First United Methodist Church.

Her family will receive friends Thursday from 2:00 p.m. until service at the church.

A graveside service and interment will held Friday, September 11th at 11:00 a.m. (EDT) at Roane Memorial Gardens in Rockwood, TN.

Patricia passed away September 3, 2026, at Life Care Center Sparta. She was born on June 11, 1945, in Washington, D.C.

Patricia was a 1963 graduate of Roane County High School and later attended the University of Tennessee. She was a homemaker whose life was centered on caring for those she loved most. Kind hearted, caring, and blessed with a calm spirit, she created a home marked by warmth and welcome.

She found joy in the simple things in life- gardening, decorating, sewing and quilting, and traveling. These interests reflected both her creativity and the thoughtful way she moved through life. Above all, her proudest accomplishment was her family, who remained the heart of her life. She and her husband Ron have been active members of Cookeville First United Methodist Church.

Patricia is survived by her husband of 61 years, Ron Winningham; her daughters, Jennifer (Rich) Gautreaux and Emily (Chris) Hart; her sister, Pam (Bill)Wainscott; and her grandchildren, Matthew, Corinne, Adam, Nathan, and Andrew. She is also survived by nieces and nephews, Scott Kendrick, Amy Tucker, Dawn Lee, Kim Murray, Amy Bertilacci, and Brad Schmidt.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles E. and Cecelia Kraus Bolyard.

Patricia will be remembered for her gentle nature, her loving care, and the steady presence she brought to her family. Her life was a blessing to those who knew her, and her memory will be cherished always.
