Patsy J. Nash

Funeral services for Ms. Patsy Jean Nash, age 71, a long-time resident of Cookeville, will be held Sunday, July 23rd at 1:00 p.m. at the Cookeville Chapel of Hooper-Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Nash Cemetery. Bro. John Davis will officiate. Ms. Nash's family will receive friends Saturday from 5:00p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and again Sunday from 12:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home. She went to be with the Lord Thursday, July 20, 2017 at NHC HealthCare of Cookeville, surrounded by her loving family. She was born December 12, 1945 in Baxter, TN to the late Ben Hooper and Herdley Denny Nash. A life-long resident of Putnam County, Patsy attended Cookeville Business College, and began a career in accounting. She worked many years in the insurance industry and also enjoyed her time serving as a Secretary at Stevens Street Baptist Church. She retired from Fields Insurance in 2016. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Helen Nash Gordon; infant sister, Judy Nash; and step-father, Oscar McCowan. She is survived by sister, June Nash Fields; brother, Ben Hugh Nash and wife Bettye; steps-sister, Louie Carlile; step-brother, Blaine McCowan; nieces and nephews, Tamara (Steve) Murr, Julie (Danny) Sigler, Terry (Dana) Fields, Ben Nash Jr., Peggye (Wayne) Cantrell, Jennifer Fields Mitchell, and by her beloved 11 great nieces and nephews along with six great-great nieces and nephews. Terry Fields, Ben Nash Jr., Ty Fields, Trace Fields, Matt Bates and Ben Nash Sr. will serve as pallbearers. Hooper-Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements (931)526-6111.
