Funeral services for Mrs. Peggy Sue Ford Wyatt, age 80 of Cookeville, will be held Monday, January 2nd at 1pm at the Cookeville chapel of Hooper-Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Crest Lawn Cemetery. Pastor Mark Gaw will officiate.
Her family will receive friends Monday from 11am until service time at the funeral home.
Mrs. Wyatt passed away suddenly on Thursday, December 29, 2022.
Mrs. Wyatt was born November 30, 1942 in Cookeville, TN to the late Hubert and Dimple Whittaker Ford.
She retired in 2004 from the Tennessee Department of Transportation. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Peggy loved to travel and traveled all over the world with her husband. Her favorite place was Switzerland. Family was the most important thing to her.
Peggy is survived by her husband of 63 years, James Wyatt of Cookeville; daughters, Felicia Martin of Greenbrier, TN and Michelle Hall (Darnell) of Murfreesboro, TN; son, Andrew Wyatt of Cookeville; grandchildren, Matthew Prowse of Cookeville, Holly Burnum (Levi) of Greenbrier, TN, Macy Hillis (Luke) of Murfreesboro and Chase Shelton (fiance Taylor) of Murfreesboro; great grandchildren, Grayson Prowse and Wyatt Gilbert both of Greenbrier, TN.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by son, James Hubert Wyatt and a sister, Betty Peters.
