Robert Chase

Mr. Robert E. Chase, age 73 of the Allons community of Overton County, died Tuesday March 29, 2022 at his home. A memorial gathering will be held in April 2022. He was born March 19, 1949 in Norwalk, CT to the late Robert E. Chase and Mary Bryan Barksdale. Robert worked as a car painter and enjoyed racing and repairing cars. He also enjoyed time spent outdoors fishing. He was a member of the US Coast Guard Auxillary. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by son, Jason Velten; and by granddaughter, Alyssa Velten. Mr. Chase is survived by his wife of 27 years, Helen Velten Chase; son, Patrick and his wife Bobbi Velten; grandchildren, Kyle Velten, Kristina Giammateo, Brittany Giammateo. Faith McKnight, Kaitlyn Davis, Victoria Velten and Steven Velten; and by six great grandchildren; and by daughter in law, Jaime Velten.
