Ronald Lee "Ron" Grover, passed away at his residence in Elmwood, TN on July 22, 2023. Born on August 12, 1953, in Evansville, IN, to the late Robert Slatton and Renee Mackie Hall, Ron was a cherished figure known for his quiet strength, and his artistic creativity.


In addition to his parents, Ron was preceded in death by his twin brother, Richard Lawrence Slatton, brother David Grover, and sister Kathy Duvall. He is survived by his sister, Kay Powell of Cookeville, and a host of nieces and nephews, including Hannah Grover, Daniel Grover, Jared Precht, Shia Precht, Whitney (Jeff) Williams, Blair (Brandon) Blair, and Trevor (Charlene) Powell.


Ron found his calling on the water, serving as a Ferry Boat Captain for many years. Later, he transitioned into self-employment as a carpenter, a vocation that allowed him to used his hands and his creativity to build and shape structures.


Beyond his work, Ron was a truly gifted artist. He held a special passion for painting, spending many hours immersed in his art. Despite his quiet nature, Ron communicated beautifully through his art, leaving a vibrant legacy that will continue to inspire those who had the chance to appreciate his work.
