COOKEVILLE CHAPEL - Ronda Stout, a beloved daughter, mother, and friend, passed away peacefully at her residence on Monday February 2, 2026, at the age of 60. Born on September 4, 1965, in Cookeville, Tennessee, Ronda was a vibrant presence whose sweet spirit and welcoming nature touched the lives of many.
A proud graduate of Cookeville High School class of 1983, Ronda worked for 30 years at Cummins Filtration/Fleetguard in Cookeville.
Ronda was a woman of diverse interests and passions. She cherished sunny days spent at the beach, working through crossword puzzles, reveling in the joy of traveling, and delighting in the exploration of new cuisine. Ronda held a special love for softball, where she found both joy and a sense of community. She was a member of Holladay Church of Christ in Cookeville.
Ronda’s heart was anchored in her family. She is survived by her father Adriel Stout, and his wife, Roslyn Wheeler Stout; her beloved son, Braxton Stout; her step sister Sonya Anderson and her husband Jason, her step brother Ashley Wheeler and his wife Ellen; her aunts Patricia Shinsky and Joy Stout; and her uncle Ronnie Stout and his wife Freda.. Each of these individuals holds cherished memories of Ronda, who was not only a source of love but also a wellspring of support and encouragement.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Nancy "Nan" K. Stout; her sister, Cindy Lee Key; her nephew, Austin Lee Key; and her paternal grandparents, Mack Austin Stout and Winnie Elnora "Sudie" Stout and maternal grandparents, Neil and Earlene Denny.
A memorial service will be held Friday, February 13th at 1:00 p.m. at the Cookeville chapel of Hooper, Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home. Bro. John Nichols will officiate. Her family will receive friends Friday from
11:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
