Roy Grider

Funeral services for Mr. Roy Arthur Grider, age 85, of Shoreview, MN, will be at 1 p.m. Sunday, November 26 at the Cookeville Chapel of Hooper Huddleston and Horner Funeral Home. Interment with military honors will follow in Palmer Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday from 12 - 1 p.m. Mr. Grider passed away November 18, 2017 at Lyngblomsten Care Center in Saint Paul, MN. He was born March 8, 1932 in Rogersville, TN to the late Hober James and Gladys E. Smith Grider. Mr. Grider worked for Stroh's Brewing Company for over 35 years. He lived his life in the belief of love, friendship, and charity, and was a lifetime member of the Roseville Masonic Lodge #522 in Roseville, MI, a Scottish Rite Freemason, and a member of the Moslem Shriners Temple in Southfield, MI. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sisters, Ethel, and Cecile; brothers, Elmer, Kyle, and F.J. (Franklin James). He is survived by his wife of 60 years, LaFalda Gertrude, as well as many nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews. Friends and family will serve as pallbearers.
