Ruth Taylor

A memorial service for Ms. Shirley ‘Ruth' Taylor, age 83 of Baxter, will be held Sunday, November 29th at 11 am at Baxter First United Methodist Church. Rev. TJ Bennett will officiate. Visitation will follow the service at the church. Ruth went to be with the Lord Wednesday, November 18, 2015 in Cookeville Regional Medical Center. She was born May 28, 1932 in Nashville to the late Vernon Kirkpatrick and Elsie Maloney Kirkpatrick Oaks. She was a graduate of Reity High School in Evansville, Indiana. She had been in the nursing profession for 40 years. . She was a member of Baxter First United Methodist Church. Ruth was loved by all and will be very much missed. She was preceded in death by a step-son James "JIM" Robert Huddleston She is survived by her life partner, Big John A. Huddleston of Baxter; daughter, Margaret LeAnn Mitchell of Evansville, IN; and by a sister, Judith Burk of Cleveland, GA; step-sons and daughters-in-law, Wayne and Leisa Huddleston, Mickey and Lisa Huddleston, Debbie Huddleston; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
