COOKEVILLE CHAPEL - Sammie P. Hall, a cherished member of the Cookeville community and a dedicated sales manager for Dacco, passed away peacefully on Tuesday May 19, 2026, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center in Cookeville, Tennessee. Born on April 28, 1943, in Nashville, TN, Sammie’s life was marked by a deep commitment to family, work, and his varied interests.

Sammie’s early years included attending grade school in Michigan before relocating to Jackson County, a move that brought one of the most important people in his life into his path-his beloved wife, Peggy Spivey Hall. Together, they built a life rich in love and shared experiences. His role as a devoted husband remained a central thread throughout his eighty-three years.

Throughout his career, Sammie demonstrated exceptional leadership and dedication as a sales manager at Dacco in Cookeville, Tennessee. His professional efforts were characterized by integrity and an unwavering commitment to excellence. Beyond his career, Sammie was known for his passion for classic cars, his adventurous spirit manifest in his love for traveling in his RV, and his enthusiasm for aviation, proudly holding a pilot’s license.

Family was the heart of Sammie’s world. He is survived by his loving wife, Peggy Spivey Hall; his son, Jeff Hall; and son-in-law, Stanley Anderson. He also leaves behind a cherished circle of grandchildren: Jared (Ashley) Anderson, Jamie Bandy, Lora Whaley, Ann Marie Anderson, Christina Hall, and Sammy Anderson. His legacy extends further through his great-grandchildren: Charlotte Bandy, Conner and Delilah Whaley, and bonus great-grandchildren, Chloe and Levi Reeves, who carry forward his spirit and love.

Sammie was preceded in death by his parents, Sam L. and Merlene Wylie; his beloved daughter, Samantha Anderson; and his brother, Kenny Hall. Their memories remain deeply etched in the hearts of all who knew him.

A Funeral Service will be held at 11 AM, Thursday, May 28, 2026 from the Cookeville Chapel of Hooper, Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home with Steve Reeder officiating.

Interment will follow at Crest Lawn Cemetery with family and friends serving as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 4-7 PM and again on Thursday from 10 AM until the time of the service at the funeral home.

Sammie P. Hall’s life was one of steadfast devotion-to his family, his passions, and his community. His gentle presence and enduring warmth will be profoundly missed but fondly remembered by all whose lives he touched.
