Shannon Lee Clouse

BAXTER CHAPEL-It is with deep respect and heartfelt sorrow that we announce the passing of Shannon Lee Clouse, 54 of Baxter, who departed this life on Tuesday, May 26, 2026, at Baylor Scott White Hospital in Dallas, Texas. Born on August 23, 1971, in Cookeville, Tennessee, Shannon lived a life marked by dedication, hard work, and love for his family and community.

A proud graduate of Upperman High School in 1989, Shannon was a committed member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 429. His career was distinguished by his willingness to serve beyond local borders, having worked across all states and Puerto Rico, particularly contributing his efforts on hurricane recovery work—an embodiment of his resilient spirit and steadfast commitment to helping others in times of need.

Shannon attended Life Church Cookeville Campus, where his faith and fellowship provided strength and guidance throughout his life. Beyond his professional and spiritual commitments, he cherished simple pleasures and pastimes that enriched his days. He was an avid hunter, found joy in watching his daughter CJ play softball, treasured moments spent with family and friends, and loved riding the backroads—each reflecting his deep appreciation for life's quiet and meaningful experiences.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Heather Annette Brown Clouse of Cookeville (married April 25, 2011); his children, Jared Clouse of Cookeville, Jordan (JD) Davis of Magnolia, Texas, and CJ Clouse of Cookeville. He also leaves behind his devoted parents, Bruce and Treasa Herren Clouse of Sparta; and his brother, Matt Clouse of Sparta. Shannon's legacy continues through his cherished grandchildren: Jayden Davis, Jesse Davis, Jaicee Clouse, and Jaileigh Clouse, as well as his nieces and nephews Cori Paige Clouse, Cayse Hart, James Clayton Clouse, William Medlin, Jonathan Medlin, Cillian Hart, and Avery Hart.

We also remember and honor the memory of Shannon’s grandparents—Zina and Helen Bradford Herren, and James C. and Ima Jean Gambrell Clouse—whose lives no doubt helped shape the remarkable person he became.

Family and friends are invited to gather for visitation at Baxter Chapel, located at 532 4th Street, Baxter, Tennessee 38544, on Monday, June 1, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., and on Tuesday, June 2, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. The funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m. at the same location, honoring Shannon’s life and legacy with dignity and profound respect. Burial will follow in G.V. Herren Family Cemetery at Silver Point, TN. Bro. Bob Bishop will officiate.

Honoring the family as pallbearers will be Nathan Thomas, Jordan Swindell, Mitch Harrington, Stan Cowan, Robert Drake and Larry Key.
