Sharlene Drake

Funeral services for Mrs. Sharlene Dawn Drake, age 74, will be held Wednesday, January 11, 2023 at 11:00am in the Cookeville Chapel of Hooper Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Shipley Cemetery. Bro. David Sharp will officiate.

Her family will receive friends Tuesday from 4:00pm to 8:00pm and again Wednesday from 9am until service time at the funeral home.

Mrs. Drake died Thursday January 5, 2023 at Saint Thomas Hospital West in Nashville.

She was born December 10, 1948 in Royal Oak, MI to the late Lucas and Jennie Zylstra Reamsma.

Sharlene worked alongside Brenda Winton at First Realty for 25 years. She was funny, loving, caring and supportive to her friends and family. She enjoyed life, spending time outdoors camping, and loved when her family was gathered together. She was a believer and follower of Jesus and was active in church, and most recently attended Dodson Branch Southern Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jim Drake; sisters, Elaine McGue and Mary Betty Paige; and by brothers, Henry John Reamsma and Lawrence Reamsma.

She is survived by her adoring family, her significant other, Dennis Mayberry; daughter, Jennifer Drake; sons, James (Kati) Flint and Michael (Stacy) Flint; brother, Weldon Reamsus; thirteen grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
