COOKEVILLE CHAPEL - Shirley Ann Molder, age 78 of Cookeville, passed away on January 26, 2026, at NHC of Cookeville. Born on October 22, 1947, in Cookeville, Tennessee, Shirley lived a life marked by service, creativity, and deep connection to her roots.

A proud graduate of Putnam County Senior High School in 1966, Shirley furthered her education at Tennessee Tech University. Throughout her life, she found joy and fulfillment in her career working in food service, with a special commitment to the Cookeville Senior Citizens Center where she touched many lives with her kindness and care.

Shirley was a woman of many talents, with crafting as one of her beloved hobbies where she expressed her creativity and patience. Her faith and community were a central part of her life; she was a devoted member of the Church on the Hill in Cookeville, an association that she regarded as one of her proudest accomplishments.

She is survived by her brothers, John Molder and his wife Bonnie, and George Molder, along with her nephew, Darrel Allen, and her close friend, Michael Hunter. These cherished family members and friends hold close the memories and legacy she leaves behind.

Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Hazel Molder; her brother, Bill Allen; and her sister, June Molder. Their memories live on in her heart and the hearts of all who knew her.

A celebration of Shiley's life will be Thursday April 2 from 4:30 - 8:30 p.m. at Church on the Hill. This gathering will be a time to reflect on Shirley’s generous spirit, her love for crafting, and her unwavering commitment to those around her.
