Graveside service and interment for Thurman Monroe Lindsey, 81 of Cookeville will be Monday, November 8, 1 PM at West Cemetery in the Burgess Falls Community. The family will receive friends at Dyer Chapel of Hooper Huddleston Horner Funeral Home Monday from 12 noon until we leave in procession to the cemetery at 12:35 PM. Bro. Terry Geren will officiate. Mr. Lindsey died Friday, November 5, 2021 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. He was born March 20, 1940 in Putnam County to the late Alma Young Lindsey and the late Orpha Magnolia Cronk Lindsey. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by wives: Goldie Buchanan Lindsey, Ila Mae Franklin Lindsey, daughter Lucretia Lindsey, son Donnie Lindsey, sister Almedia Lindsey, brother Truman Lindsey. Thurman was a Navy veteran. He was a retired tow motor operator in a lumber mill. He enjoyed his pet dogs, Snoopy and Toby. Survivors include son and daughter-in-law Danny and Kim Lindsey of Algood, several step-children, grandchildren: Danielle Junion and husband Gustavo, Kristen Lindsey and Daulton Lindsey, great-grandchildren: Avery Junion, Vince Davis and Alex Junion, family friend and caregiver Judy Hoskins.
