Graveside services and interment for Mrs. Treva Jean Williams Cannon, age 75, of Athens, TN and formerly of Cookeville, will be Wednesday, March 23rd at 1:00 p.m. She will be laid to rest at Pleasant View Cemetery. Pastor Josh Hodum will officiate. Visitation will be held immediately following the service at the cemetery. Mrs. Cannon passed away Saturday, March 19th at her residence. She was born January 21, 1947 in White County, TN to the late R.D. Williams and Ellen Marie Clouse Williams Golden. Treva was a gifted homemaker who was kind hearted and always willing to be helpful to others. She treated people fairly and was willing to listen. She enjoyed spending her time fishing. She was a member of First United Pentecostal Church in Cookeville. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 30 years, George Calvin Cannon; daughter, Linda Jean Wittenberry; sisters, Clara Gentry, Reba Goolsby, Sue Miller, Lou Miller, Marie Trobaugh, Mildren Williams, Willean Williams and Brenda Williams; brothers, Dan Williams, James Edward Williams and Eugene Williams. She is survived by her daughter, Sandra (Scott) Campbell; son, Danny Ray Manus, all of Athens; 20 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; brother, Carl Williams; and by sisters, Rachel Cannon, Geraldine Dunn and Susie Randolph. Scott Campbell, Ray Turner, Katie Williams, Roger Cannon, Larry Cannon, and Dylan Cannon will serve as pallbearers. Justin Cannon will serve as an honorary pallbearer.
