Velma Neely

Mrs. Velma Jean Neely, age 68 of Cookeville, died Tuesday August 24, 2021 at Bethesda Health Care and Rehabilitation Center. She was born March 19, 1953 in Detroit, MI to the late Irma Conners. She worked as a housekeeper at various locations. Family and friends describe her as spunky and sassy. Her hobbies included listening to music and dancing. She also enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She is survived by her longtime companion, Greg McKinley; seven children, Tawana Neely, Dwight Neely, Chell White, Dream Neely, Michelle White and Tamara Davis; brothers, Wayne Grice, Leon Grice; sisters, Waynetta Grice and Yvonne Davis; and numerous grandchildren.
