Virginia Templeton

Funeral services for Mrs. Virginia Nell Templeton, 68 of Nashville and formerly of Monterey will be held Tuesday July 12 at 1 p.m. in the Chapel of Horner Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Welch Memorial Cemetery. Bro. Bobby Floyd. Mrs. Templeton died Saturday afternoon July 9, 2011 in Summit Medical Center in Nashville. She was born September 9, 1942 in Monterey, to the late Alex Clarence and Dortha Mae Kilgore Buckner. She was a retired Aircraft Mechanic with Textron (formerly AVCO) with over 26 years of service. She was of the Baptist Faith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Lance Templeton; and four brothers, Clarence Buckner, JR, Willie Carl Buckner, James Harold Buckner, and Harvey Dale Buckner. Survivors include her daughter, Martie Cravens of Nashville; two sons, Danny Templeton of Monterey, and Shane Templeton of Nashville; five grandchildren, Nicole Templeton, Kurtis Cravens, Kortney Cravens, Alyssa Templeton, and Trinity Templeton; great grandson, Aceson Cravens; sister, Anna Gail Rigsby; and brother and sister-in-law, Rev. Richard & Sybil Buckner all of Monterey. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Mrs. Templeton"�s family will receive friends Monday from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. and Tuesday from 11 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
