BILL HALDERSON
COOKEVILLE-William Allan Harry Halderson, affectionately known as Bill, passed away peacefully at his residence on April 16, 2026. Born on July 7, 1945, in Canada, Bill’s journey through life was marked by deep kindness, unwavering love, and a genuine commitment to his family and community.
Bill moved from Canada to California at the age of 16, beginning a path of growth and learning that would define his remarkable life. He earned a bachelor’s degree from Cal Poly Pomona in Los Angeles and furthered his education by obtaining a master’s degree from Claremont Graduate University. His pursuit of knowledge was lifelong, driven by an insatiable curiosity and a fascination with science.
For 25 years, Bill dedicated himself as a corporate trainer for the former Carl Karcher Enterprises, known widely as Carl's Jr. His career was distinguished by a passion for helping others develop their skills and confidence, reflecting the generous and supportive nature that permeated every aspect of his life.
In 2004, Bill and his beloved family moved to Cookeville, where he immersed himself in the community. A devoted member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, he was an active participant who served with great honor as Past Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus. His faith was a cornerstone of his existence, providing strength and guidance through every season.
Bill was a man of many interests who found joy in spending time outdoors, tending to his garden, and watching wildlife. He enjoyed golfing and fishing, embracing the tranquility and challenge these hobbies offered. Those who knew him fondly remember his gentle spirit, his loving heart, and how deeply he loved children, always eager to share his wisdom and warmth.
He is survived by his cherished wife of 58 years, Monica Halderson, who stood beside him with unwavering love. Their son, Michael Halderson, carries forward his legacy, as does his lifelong friend Eric Cox, whose friendship was a source of great comfort and joy. Bill’s many family members also mourn his loss and will forever hold him in their hearts.
Bill was preceded in death by his dear parents, Marvin and Margeret Anderson Halderson; his brother, Barry Halderson; and his daughter, Laura Halderson. Their memories live on in the love that Bill so generously gave and received.
William Allan Harry Halderson’s life was one of commitment, love, and continuous growth. He leaves behind a world richer for his presence-a testament to a man who truly lived with kindness, conviction, and an enduring spirit. Those who had the honor of knowing Bill will remember him not just for his many achievements, but for the warmth and strength of his character, the quiet joy he found in simple pleasures, and the boundless love he shared. He will be profoundly missed and fondly remembered by all whose lives he touched.
A mass will be held at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church and will be shared once arrangements are completed.
