DYER CHAPEL-Willie Patricia Bean, a beloved member of the Hampton's Crossroads community, passed away peacefully on Tuesday January 20, 2026, in her home in the Hampton's Crossroads Community. She was born on December 27, 1939, in Jackson County, Tennessee, and embraced a life full of love, hard work, and devotion to her family.
Willie dedicated 28 years of her life to Emerson Electric, formerly known as Mallory Timers, where she earned the respect and admiration of her coworkers. She enjoyed pursuing her passions, which included being an excellent cook known for preparing delicious meals for her family. She also had a green thumb, relishing her time spent in the garden tending to her flowers, and found joy in walking around her neighborhood, taking in the beauty of her surroundings.
A woman of faith, Willie’s Christian values shaped her into the hardworking, independent individual remembered by all who knew her. Her love for family was evident in everything she did, making her home a warm and welcoming place for her loved ones.
Willie is survived by her daughters, Lisa Crum (Barry) and Geraldine McBride (Jackie); her son, William Dewey Bean (Joyce); her brothers, Harold Clark and John Clark (Brenda); a cherished group of grandchildren, including Arnold Bean (Brittany), Tricia Fisher, Billy Jack McBride (Ryanna), Anthony Duncan (Sara), Ryan Crum (Morgan), and Deana McBride; and nieces and a nephews, Billy Allen (Annette) and Anita Brown (Jerry), who brought joy to her life. She was also a proud grandmother to seventeen great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren, whose laughter and love were a constant source of happiness for her.
Willie was preceded in death by her parents, William Thomas Bean and Beaulah Flemings Bean; her siblings, Ova Jane Bean, Ona-C Hamilton, Lillian Allen, Nide Ferguson, Joe Clark, and Dewey Bean; and her niece and nephews, Stanley Allen, Mike Allen, and Linda Heady.
A funeral service to honor Willie will be at 11 a.m. Thursday January 22 at the Dyer Chapel of Hooper Huddleston and Horner Funeral Home. Bro. Doug Downs will officiate. Visitation for friends and family will be Wednesday from 5 - 8 p.m. and again Thursday 10 - 11 a.m. She will be laid to rest at West Chapel Cemetery in the Fairview Community of Cookeville.
Willie Patricia Bean's legacy will continue through her family and friends, who will forever cherish the indelible impact she made in their lives. She will be dearly missed, and her memories will be lovingly remembered by those fortunate enough to have known her.
