DAVID HORNER

David Horner is the owner/manager of Hooper-Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home, has worked in funeral service for more than 40 years. He began working at Hooper & Huddleston Funeral Home while attending Tennessee Tech in 1972. He completed his education at John A. Gupton College of Mortuary Science. David is a charter member and past-president of Cookeville Breakfast Rotary, has served on the Board of Trustees of Cookeville Regional Medical Center Foundation and on the Board of Directors of Tennessee Funeral Directors Association. He is a Leadership Putnam Alumnus and a previous ambassador of Al Menah Shrine Temple.

Jill Horner, office manager at Hooper-Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home, is a funeral director and graduate of Tennessee Tech University. Jill is a Leadership Putnam Alumna, serves as Past-Chair of the Cookeville/Putnam County Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, the Tennessee Tech College of Business Administration Foundation Board of Trustees, Cityscape Board of Directors and Heart of the Cumberland Board of Directors. She has served on the Tennessee Board of Funeral Directors and Embalmers and currently serves on the Governmental Affairs Committee of the Tennessee Funeral Directors Association.

JASON HORNER

Jason Horner is a funeral director and embalmer, a 1997 graduate of Tennessee Tech University, and previously served as a Cookeville City Firefighter and Paramedic. Jason began his career in funeral service as a high school student, helping out in the family funeral home. Jason serves as Deacon at Stevens Street Baptist Church and is a member of the Cookeville Noonday Lions Club. He currently serves on the Board of Cookeville Christian Academy. He and wife, Bridget have four children, Will, Jaylee, Emma and Kara.

BRAD HORNER

Licensed funeral director, is a graduate of Union University and served for a period after college as a missionary in the Middle East. He is a member of Cookeville Noonday Rotary and is Past Chair of the Board of Directors of the Better Business Bureau. He and wife, Jessica are members of Stevens Street Baptist Church and have three sons, Hudson, Graham, and Mack.

HAROLD MAYNARD

Harold Maynard is a Licensed Funeral director and manager of our Baxter Chapel. Harold is a graduate of Upperman High School and has worked in funeral service for more than 40 years. He and his family attend Life Church, where he serves as an usher and in the van ministry. He is a Leadership Putnam Alumnus and past-president of the Upper Cumberland Funeral Directors Association. He and his wife, Sheri, have two daughters, Beth and Rachel.

Mike Birdwell is a Licensed funeral director and embalmer and is a graduate of and John A. Gupton School of Mortuary Science. Mike is a past-president of the Upper Cumberland Funeral Directors Association. He and wife, Amanda, have one daughter, Avery and are members of Center Grove Church of Christ.

COREY HALL

Corey began his career in funeral service in the Atlanta area in after personally experiencing how a funeral director helped his family during a vulnerable time. He graduated from Gupton-Jones College of Funeral Service in 2005. Corey worked for a large funeral home in the Atlanta area before moving to Cookeville in 2015 to be near family. He is pleased to be living in Cookeville.

Bridget Horner is a Licensed funeral director at Hooper-Huddleston & Horner. She is a graduate of Tennessee Tech University and mother of four. She sings in the Stevens Street Baptist Church Choir and helps with the children's ministry there. She and Jason have four children, Will, Jaylee, Emma and Kara.

JUDY DUKE

Community Outreach Coordinator & Certified Celebrant

Judy is the Community Outreach Coordinator and Certified Celebrant for Hooper Huddleston & Horner. She retired from the City of Cookeville as Administrator of Museums after several years. Judy holds a B.S. degree in Secondary Education, English, and a M.A. degree in English from Tennessee Tech. A native of Cookeville, Judy and her husband, Dwight are active members of Cookeville First Baptist Church where she is a substitute Sunday School teacher. They have two children, Shellie Maddaloni and Joshua B. Duke and two grandsons, Joshua Griffin Duke and Jacob Robert Warren.

GAIL GLOVER

Gail worked in real estate and served as Putnam County Trustee before retirement. Today she works part-time providing families and guests hospitality care during visitations and services. Gail is a member of Stevens Street Baptist Church and has two daughters, Amy and Lisa and two granddaughters, Allie and Mia.

PEGGIE PARROTT

Funeral Assistant

Peggy serves as a funeral assistant and hostess, helping families and guests feel comfortable during their time at the funeral home. She retired from Tennessee Tech after serving in the football program for over 28 years. She has helped at Camp Nakanawa in Crossville for the past 50 summers and loves working with the counselors and campers. Peggy has two daughters, Amy and Rhonda and two grandchildren. She is active at Stevens Street Baptist Church.

Accounting Assistant

Steve works part-time as Accounting Assistant for HHH. He is a graduate of Tennessee Tech and is currently on staff at J & S Construction. He and wife, Nancy like to travel and enjoy spending time with their grandchildren.

Virginia began working as a hostess at Hooper-Huddleston & Horner in 2017 after she retired from Farm Bureau Insurance Company after 30 years of service. Virginia enjoys traveling and is a member of Jefferson Avenue Church of Christ.
